We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct epidemiologic research focused on colorectal cancer multi-omics at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) in Seattle, Washington. The successful candidate will be paid a competitive salary and perform rigorous computational and statistical analyses leveraging large-scale multi-omics data to advance our understanding of cancer biology, discover prognostic and predictive biomarkers, and improve health disparities. Data modalities include cutting-edge highly multiplexed imaging-based spatial single cell proteomics, NGS-based spatial transcriptomics, tumor and germline DNA sequencing data, RNAseq and harmonized detailed epidemiological, lifestyle and clinical data from ethnically diverse colorectal cancer patients.
The postdoctoral fellow will be mentored by Drs. Jeroen Huyghe and Ulrike Peters and will have the opportunity to work with other Fred Hutch faculty as secondary mentors on multiple NIH funded molecular epidemiological studies for colorectal cancer risk and survival in racially and ethnically diverse populations. The successful candidate will work in a collegial environment and will join highly collaborative multidisciplinary and diverse research teams supported by an advanced data management and computational infrastructure. The Fred Hutch offers an academically challenging, supportive, and multi-disciplinary research environment and the postdoctoral fellow will be able to take full advantage of training, education, and mentorship opportunities offered through the organization.
