Job Summary
Responsible for administrative, financial and operational aspects of Telehealth research and grant initiatives. Assists in the strategic planning and development of initiatives/projects. Oversees the expansion of research initiatives and/or infrastructure as needed.
Job Duties
Coordinate strategic planning process and support its implementation.
Provide program leadership including directing and mentoring project support staff.
Supervise research staff, direct day-to-day scientific work on research projects, and develop standards of performance.
Manage workforce capacity and plans for growth and development, including assigning projects, redistributing work to accommodate new projects, and developing a hiring and staffing plan that aligns with short- and long-term project workload projections.
Oversee the overall operation and expansion of program developments for research as needed.
Participate and assist in the development and delivery of key study-specific materials, as needed.
Determine departmental needs and financial resources and prepare annual budgets.
Oversee feasibility analysis and protocol and budget development for both internally and externally funded research projects.
Maintain financial forecasting of expenditures, anticipate variances and independently implement corrective measures relevant to the project support staff function.
Serves as lead on project-related activities.
Mentor and develop project management and research skillsets within the project support staff.
Develop and manage training and new support staff onboarding activities.
Create and manage infrastructure necessary to research projects.
Develop standards for efficient implementation and management of research protocols.
Provide leadership in managing and coordinating activities with collaborating institutions, industry sponsors, grant funders, and investigators.
Identify synergies to align external collaborators research interests with those of clinicians and investigators.
Identify and communicate appropriate funding opportunities to investigators and provide leadership in managing industry and grant proposals.
Act as a liaison between project support staff and Industry sponsors and grant funders.

Experience
