Provides leadership for the creation, coordination, execution and growth of complex programs independently. Responsible for leading activities of project teams independently. Identifies appropriate resources needed by reviewing funding sources, and develops schedules to ensure time completion of projects. Coordinates the activities of the team by becoming familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Leads project teams, coaches the development of other staff and implements multiple complex projects. Provides leadership to support programs that are expected to experience significant change, expansion or evolution over time.

Develop recruitment research infrastructure
Provides leadership for the creation, coordination, execution and growth of complex research programs.
Responsible for managing large scale participant recruitment and retention initiatives.
Serves as the central resource for the research community to provide expertise and guidance on complex issues, operational goals, business strategies, ethical considerations, regulatory mandates, and institutional policies.
Educates academic medical center consortium partners regarding resources available to clinicians and researchers to improve all aspects of the research enterprise.
Create large scale infrastructure for facilitating translational science
Develops and executes program plans, goals and objectives in collaboration with program and area leadership.
Plans, organizes, and manages resources to bring about the successful completion of program goals and objectives.
Monitors costs, expenses and revenue as well as manages those costs and expenses in relation to budgeted amounts.
Collaborate with leadership and other colleagues in development and submission of grant proposals related to key national initiatives.
Improve study quality
Oversees the development of protocols, the overall plan, drafts protocols, and coordinates the protocol review and approval process with various committees and staff.
Develops and implements auditing programs, policies, procedures, documentation and systems in accordance with Federal, State and University mandates.
Develops and provides training and staff development on regulatory requirements and protocol design.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive/strategic Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program to ensure that processes and services are meeting specific requirements.
Oversee regulatory and other related aspects of support for program networks
Partners with investigators and internal departments to deliver safe and effective research designs for studies in line with institutional policies and procedures and federal regulations.
Provides quality assurance support with focus on compliance with methods, facilities and controls as they relate to federal regulations.
Serves as a resource to investigators to assist and provide guidance and education regarding data privacy and security through experience with and knowledge of privacy issues and related federal regulations.
Supervises a team, communicates performance expectations, and conducts performance evaluations.
Assures successful implementation of people, process and systems changes to support redefined service delivery model.
Monitors quality assurance standards, programs, and procedures within the team.
Provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program and project activities.
